Using the Wonder Wheel...

English fun insight marketing search Think with Google Blog
Thursday, July 30, 2009

Have you tried the new Wonder Wheel on Google Search yet? After you've done a Google Search you'll see a small link which says 'Show Options...'. This menu allows you to narrow down your search results using a range of options including showing videos, reviews or forum mentions for your search term or specifying a time period such as showing results from the 'Past 24 hours'. Showing recent results is particularly useful if you want to see, for example, the impact of a recent campaign. Among the other options is a new feature called the Wonder Wheel. This view of the results shows relevant, related search terms to the term for which you are searching. This is a nice way to understand related terms to, for example, different brands on the Internet. Here are a few examples to get you started: walkers crisps, british airways and financial times.

Having searched for Google, clicking on Google UK on the Wonder Wheel reveals related terms.
